CNI paper in PLOS Computational Biology

CNI Assistant Professor Johannes Burge, along with Priyank Jaini, a visiting summer student and a Computer Science graduate student at the University of Waterloo, recently published a paper in PLoS Computational Biology. The paper develops a statistical method for automatically determining the features in sensory stimuli most useful for particular perceptual tasks. This capability is critical for the rigorous study of how biological visual systems process real-world images. It was published online Feb 8, 2017.
